Hi, I’m Keri — a mom of two, a lifelong book lover, and the heart behind Ollie Reads.

But my love for reading didn’t start easily. When I was a kid — around third grade — I remember absolutely hating to read. Books felt boring, confusing, or just not for me. Then one day, my mom placed the right book in my hands — the kind that makes your imagination come alive — and something changed. I was hooked. That same year, I earned a Certificate of Excellence in Reading, and I’ve loved books ever since.

Now as a mom, I want to pass that same spark of joy and adventure to my own kids — and to yours, too.

When I started choosing books for my children, I realized how overwhelming it can be. There are endless lists online, but most aren’t grade-specific, and so many leave you wondering: Is this book too hard? Too easy? Is it even appropriate for my child?

If you give a child a book that’s too challenging, they can feel discouraged. If it’s too easy, they lose interest.

So, I set out to build what I wish I’d had — curated, grade-specific reading lists filled with living, meaningful stories that kids actually want to read.
